Thenga Vegan Cafe Kings Cross
Our vegan cafe in Kings Cross serves a menu created from European and Indian cuisines with a large pinch of Bengal. We make our 100% vegan food with fresh natural ingredients and minimum waste so it’s good for you and the environment as well as being delicious.
San Mahanta started Thenga Café in 2015 after his travels in India inspired him to eat and see food differently. Instead of eating at a desk, he believes it’s important for people to take time out and relax over a healthy meal. It’s no mistake that the vegan café is in YMCA’s London Yoga and Pilates centre, as San believes that good food and community help people live healthier lives.
Our head chef is the talented Nippa. Strongly influenced by her Bengali culinary heritage, her food also includes Mediterranean elements from 17 years living and working in Italy.
The menu at Thenga changes daily, but you can always guarantee there will be a delicious Indian thali platter, which comes with curries and sides served with your choice of rice or lentils. There’s also a selection of light bites, such as samosas and pakoras, a daily rotation of cakes and sweet treats, and a variety of hot and cold drinks.
