Adult Private Swimming Lessons

Adult private swimming lessons are suitable for any ability, whether you’re a beginner with no experience, an intermediate swimmer looking to improve your strokes, or an advanced swimmer with ambitions of competing.

It’s never too late to learn to swim or improve on your existing skills.

What You’ll Learn

This is completely customised to your current skill level and what you’re looking to get out of your lessons.
If you’re just starting out, your instructor can teach you the basic strokes, how to tread water and feel more confident in the water, etc.
If you’re a more advanced swimmer, you can fine-tune your skills, improve your technique on each stroke, and learn ways to increase your speed.

Benefits of Taking 1-2-1 or 2-2-1 Lessons

When you opt for private lessons rather than group sessions, you can enjoy the following:

  • Get the scope of the lesson tailored to your needs.

  • Schedule lessons around your personal schedule rather than a group timetable.

  • Get more attention than you would in a group class.

  • Improve on your skills more quickly.

  • Reduce the effect of feeling self-conscious as it’s just you and the instructor (plus a friend if you book 2-2-1 lessons)

About The Tutors

  • Rebecca Heather

Rebecca Heather came from a competitive swimming background and has been a qualified swim coach and teacher for 7 years. She works with a wide range of people from those learning to swim for the first time to swimmers competing at a national level.

Rebecca says, “Teaching swimming is not only a profession but also a way in which I can help you to meet your goals, whether that’s improving your fitness, your overall well-being or just helping you feel good! Whoever you are, whatever your goals are, together we can achieve it!”

  • Brenda Francis

Brenda has been involved in the world of fitness ever since she was 11 years old. She spent much of her youth running competitively, and in the early ‘90s, she began her career in Health & Fitness Management.

After 35 wonderful years of helping people of all ages achieve their fitness goals, she started working at YMCA teaching classes and performing Tuina Deep Tissue Massage therapy.

In 2021, she qualified as a swimming teacher, and she now works with adults, children, and babies, teaching them how to swim and keep fit in the water. She says, “Being able to give everyone the skills to improve their ability in water is so rewarding, especially when they have a big smile on their faces!”
