About this course
This six/eight-week courses will allow you to explore your creativity by producing ceramic works under the guidance of a qualified tutor.
The courses are delivered in our art room that features two wheels and an on-site kiln, here at the YMCA Club. All clay, glazes and tools are provided as part of the course price. No prior preparation or understanding is necessary for this course and there is also no form of assessment. There are just eight spaces on each course so book now to avoid disappointment.

What students will learn
Complete beginners are shown how to use the wheel and progress onto other topics depending on their personal interest. Those with more experience can choose any activity for which we have the facilities, this includes slip casting, molding and hand building.
Attendees have a relaxing, entertaining and informative time, typically leaving the course with a number of completed ceramic works.
About the tutor
Mike Amorelli is an experienced artist who tutored in a range of creative practices including ceramics, screen-printing and photography. He has been working as a freelance tutor for over 18 years having graduated with a degree in ceramics from Camberwell College of Art.
