Our courses run for 5 weeks and will allow you to explore your creativity by producing ceramic works under the guidance of a qualified Tutor.

They take place in the YMCA Club Art Room, which features two wheels and an on-site kiln. All clay, glazes and tools are included in the course price. No preparation or understanding is necessary for this course and there is no form of assessment. There are just eight spaces on each course, so book now to avoid disappointment.

What students will learn:

Complete beginners are shown how to use the wheel and will progress into other areas depending on their personal interests. Those with more experience can choose any activity for which we have the facilities including slip casting, moulding and hand building.

Attendees have a relaxing, entertaining and informative time, typically leaving the course having created a number of ceramic works.
