Gearing up in the New Year

We are really excited to announce two new classes that we are running next year. 

From mid-January we will be running demonstrations and taster sessions for both In-Trinity and FloatFit - and will add these classes to the timetable for February. As with all our classes these are included as part of your membership.

In-Trinity

In-Trinity® is a practice that accesses development of the mind and body through movement. With new opportunities for movement below the board, this practice builds strength, deepens flexibility and improves balance, coordination and agility. For the first time, In-Trinity takes the workout off the floor, using its elevated fitness board, and provides access to entirely new movements and completely redefines the training environment.

In-Trinity programmes breathe new life into traditional practices like yoga, Pilates and martial arts, this “energy-in” practice promotes physical and mental wellbeing for all fitness levels.

  • Tutors: Hamit, Terri, Adrian, Nassim, Vitor, Edgaras
  • Class venue: Sports Hall and ES1
  • Best way to describe it: A fusion of primal patterns, yoga, Pilates and martial arts
  • Who can attend: Ages 18+, all abilities welcome

 

FloatFit

FloatFit gives a fun, full body workout on a body length, unstable, floating platform called the AquaBase which adds a new, powerful dimension to working out.

The routines target muscles across the body and burn off 400 calories in 30 minutes, as the constant fight to stay afloat engages the body. These routines are yoga-inspired and combine primal patterns and body weight exercises – including planks, burpees and mountain climbers. The movement created by water requires both the core and concentration to work together to balance on the AquaBase. Intricate stabilising muscles work overtime helping to prevent dislocation and adding strength to joints. These muscle fibers often go ‘unworked’ in other workouts.

The classes are low impact, exciting and a fun - from what we hear you won't realise it's a real exercise class until you wake up the following morning!

  • Duration of class: 30 minutes
  • Best way to describe it: Yoga-inspired and combine primal patterns and body weight exercises
  • Who can attend: Ages 18+, able to swim and get on the board

FloatFit has been making the headlines and we are looking forward to bringing this class to the Club.
