Give your Mondays a boost with 3 brand new classes designed to get you moving and beat those Monday blues.

HIIT Step 6.15-6.45pm ES1 with Angela
High Intensity Interval Training involves doing a short burst of one activity to your max and then having a very short rest period or active rest period. It’s quick, it’s tough and the results are fantastic. Using the steps in ES1 will add levels, increase intensity and give a really varied workout. After a quick warm up, Angela will take you through very short circuits, around 20-30 seconds of work and 10-15 seconds of rest. Moves include: squat jumps up on to the step, squat thrusts using the step, speed taps, lunges with the step, press ups and more. Working the cardiovascular system in these short, maximal bursts is a great way to improve your overall aerobic capacity and surprisingly, improve endurance. HIIT is also an excellent fat burner  ̶  all in just half an hour!
So what’s the catch? You have to work hard during your work periods. Fear not, Angela will help you out with all the support and encouragement you need to be your best!
LBT Express 6.45-7.15pm in ES1 with Kate
Legs, Bums and Tums Express includes all your favourite LBT exercises . . . but quicker. This half hour conditioning class will hit all the target areas using steps, gliders, dumbbells and of course body weight exercises. Once everyone is ready to work out, Kate will take you through long, continuous, high repetition excises aiming to hit multiple muscles groups.You will be doing lunges, squats, plie squats, high knees and lateral raises and all the usual exercises - but be ready for something new too! Bored of crunches? So are we! Using various bits of kit and some fun ideas you will get a solid abb workout that will be more exciting than the usual crunch and plank. Kate likes to work with movement patterns that involve balance, core work and co-ordination to keep the class challenging and fresh.
This class will leave you feeling strong, lean and hopefully a little bit sore!
Barre Conditioning 7.15-8.00pm in ES1 with Kate
Using techniques from the discipline of Ballet, this conditioning class promotes flexibility, excellent posture, better coordination and alignment. This is a class for beginners and members who are new to ballet; there is no pretence here, just a relaxed class that will help you switch on to your body and improve balance, awareness and maybe a learn a few steps along the way. Working with the barre and on the mats you will follow the music, through long continuous exercises and dance movements. Standing tall and isolating specific muscles are all part of creating control with the whole body. This takes core strength, focus and careful movement – all things that will develop after a few weeks of Barre Conditioning.
