Sarah McLintic has a long-standing association with YMCA Club.
She started out as a Lifeguard nearly 30 years ago before working in administration and later qualifying as a Swimming Teacher – a career which spanned 13 years.
“After a number of years away, it is with great pleasure that I am back in the building that I feel such affection for. I look forward to reconnecting with old friends and colleagues and also making new ones. I am happy to chat about my work so please feel free to approach me if you see me around the Club”.
Now qualified as an Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist, Sarah is currently studying for the BTEC level 6 Professional Diploma in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage from Jing Advanced Clinical Massage training school in Brighton.
Sarah has a particular interest in treating chronic pain conditions including migraines and headaches, chronic lower-back pain and sciatica-like symptoms. She is especially passionate about helping those in chronic pain, having suffered from severe and chronic migraines herself. Trigger point therapy in particular helped her take control of her condition and regain her quality of life.
A full orthopaedic assessment is carried out prior to treatment if required and each treatment plan is tailored to the individual’s needs. A variety of techniques are employed to ensure the most effective results, with a focus on trigger point therapy, myofascial release and advanced stretching. The aim is to relieve pain, increase range of motion, improve function and overall well-being.
The treatment is also very relaxing, with clients often noticing improvements in their sleep patterns and overall better quality of life.
Please call for an informal discussion on your condition prior to making a booking.
