This September, we’ll be encouraging Londoners to strip off and take a dip in our 25m pool. Why? To encourage happier, healthier and more fulfilled lives of course. It turns out that daring to bare it all can help improve body confidence, lower stress and increase self esteem.
The Great British Skinny Dip is an annual event organised by British Naturism taking place across the UK. We’ll be playing host to the event in London with one simple aim - to make people feel better about their bodies.
There are a range of health benefits to shedding your clothes and we want to help raise awareness of this. Improving wellbeing in mind, body and spirit is at the core of what we do. Our World of Good report found that body image is one of the top concerns amongst young people and it’s only getting worse. That’s why we founded the Be Real campaign last year and why we're continuing to educate people that being healthier doesn’t always mean looking like a model. By hosting this event, we hope to help remove the taboo around the naked body and encourage self-acceptance.
The best thing about the event is that anyone can do it. Anyone can change their attitude towards body image and experience the freedom that comes with stripping away your clothes.
The event will take place on Saturday 3rd September from 8.30pm to 10.30pm. Tickets are £7 for members, £15 for non members and available via Eventbrite.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available on the door. All tickets must be shown at reception and will be swapped for a wrist band.
Will you put an end to hiding away and take a step towards body confidence? Why not give it a go?
