Why are you closing?
As our members know, our YMCA Club has always been much more than a gym. It’s a creative community with a cause, to promote mind, body and spirit. We've been a pioneer in the wellbeing of London since 1844 and we want to continue to invest in the city's future.
That’s why we’re going back to our core purpose – to create a home for the community which allows people to flourish in the fullest sense of the word.
We need your help to work out what that means for the future.
How can I get involved?
We are starting our journey with a special event that discusses one simple question:
What does living well mean to you?
The event is called Eudaimonia! and tickets will be half price (£30) for the first 50 YMCA Club members. We'd love to see you come along and take part in the discussion.
But this is just the start. We will also be holding free workshops especially for Club members in the coming months. Stay tuned for more details.
Great, but what about the Club classes on Thursday 13 October 2016?
To help us prepare for Eudaimonia! the Club's Main Sports Hall will be closed all day to the members. However all other facilities – free-weights room, functional training zone, cardio area, swimming pool etc – will be available till 1.30pm. We are working on trying to arrange additional classes to run during the morning and will update our members we know more. But do check the website in advance to see if your usual Thursday class has been affected. The Club will close its doors at 2pm and re-open for ticket-holders at 4pm.
How do I buy a ticket for Eudaimonia!?
You can buy discounted tickets (£30) for the event at the Club's reception (first 50 members only).
