Central London is full of interesting activities for young people, but places to get fit within a safe and welcoming environment are few and far between.

Our youth membership gives young people aged 13 to 17 access to YMCA Club, supporting them to maintain and improve their physical and mental health.

 At a substantially reduced rate, young people can use the pool, cardio zone, youth classes and badminton courts. Use of free weights and resistance machines is restricted to those who are 16 and over, however, 13-15 year olds can still benefit from strength training using the suspension training and body weight exercises.

What you’ll get: 

Induction
A 45-minute induction where we’ll establish your current activity levels and discuss your training goals. Our expert instructors show you how to use all of the gym equipment in order to maximise your time and the effectiveness of your workout. All inductions will need to be pre-booked at reception. Please note that all under 18s must have an induction before they can use the gym facilities.

Follow-on appointment
As a new member, we will call you to check everything is going well. If you have been following your session plan it’s likely that you will be getting fitter and the follow-on appointment is a great way to get some new ideas to help keep things interesting in the gym. 

Supervised gym
Train in the gym under the watchful eyes of our top instructors, giving you all the advice you need to boost your fitness in a safe and controlled manner. Whether you’re building your strength or improving your general fitness, we’ve got it covered. 

 

What you need to know: 

Youth Membership (13-17 year olds)
There is a yearly membership fee of £5.00 then a £2.00 pay-as-you-go entry fee. All under 18s must have an induction before they can use the gym facilities and 13-16 year olds must have a signed consent form from a parent or adult carer.

Entrance times 

13-15 year olds:
Weekdays: 6:30am – 6:30pm
Saturday: 10am – 8:30pm
Sunday: 10am – 7pm

16-17 year olds:
Weekdays: 6:30am – 10:30pm
Saturday: 10am – 8:30pm
Sunday: 10am – 7pm
