Adeline Kam

Adeline is a tutor working with the Psychotherapy and Hypnosis Training Academy at Regent's College. With a background in education, Adeline works in private practice and has clocked up 13 years’ experience as a psycho-hypnotherapist and hypno-analyst, successfully treating emotional problems such as anxiety and panic attacks, phobias and low self-esteem.

Amarjeet Bharma

  • Indian Head Massage and Indian Head Massage Certificate

A Reiki guru and President at the Institute of Indian Head Massage, Amarjeet practices Atmatherapy™ and Ayurvedic Bodywork including Indian head massage, Hopi ear candles and AB pelvic correction system. Amarjeet believes in a holistic approach that aims to treat the causes, not just the symptoms, helping the body release its healing potential.

Andy Batters

  • Thai & Swedish Massage

Andy has successfully completed the Practitioner course in therapeutic massage from the London College of Massage in 1998, as well as a practitioner certificate in traditional thai yoga massage in 2009 from Quantum Metta. He has had many years applying his knowledge to both Swedish and Thai massage.

Brita Forsstrom

  • Alexander Technique

Brita has been an Alexander Technique teacher since 1984 and runs a practice in Central London. She gives workshops, workplace consultations and works with runners. She is co-author of ‘The Alexander Technique for Pregnancy and Childbirth’. Brita also teaches Actors and Performing Artists at the City Lit with clients including; The Guardian, The Financial Times, and The British Film Institute.

I am a motivated and qualified (QTS in 2011, and CAP Spanish teacher's training course) Spanish teacher with proven experience in England and Spain, enthusiastic and seeking new challenges in the teaching sector. I am passionate about teaching the Spanish language and culture. I am a good listener, independent, organized and with plenty of self discipline, always persevering to achieve the best results.

Duncan Steen

Duncan Steen (aka Jinananda) has taught meditation and mindfulness for more than 20 years. He is a published author of Meditating and his courses have been positively reviewed in the Financial Times, Hot Courses and in the Guardian.

Inaki Fernandez Sastre

Is a juggler and performance artist who has been performing with the Sean Gandini Troupe for some years.

Jonathan Wood

  • Canoeing and Kayaking

Jonathan has over twenty years’ experience of kayaking and canoeing, and has participated in many styles of competitive and recreational paddle sport. He is qualified as a BCU/UKCC level 2 coach, and is the training officer for Y-Paddle Canoe Club.

Luis Valencia

  • Badminton Coach

Originally from Columbia, Luis has been playing Badminton for more than ten years. He holds the Level 2 Coaching Certificate from Badminton England. Luis previously taught in Columbia before moving to London and working for Central YMCA. 

Martin Purcell

  • Swimming Stroke 1 and 2

Martin is an ASA-qualified Level 2 swim teacher with a strong technical background in swimmer development and teaching. He has a firm belief that building confidence in swimmers is the most effective way to learn. Martin’s approach to developing good technical swimmers within a relaxed and fun environment won him the Amateur Swimming Association’s Best Community Swim Project in 2011.

Olaf Liunberg

  • Kayaking and Canoeing Coach

Olaf has over twenty years’ experience of coaching, kayaking and canoeing. He is a qualified BCU/UKCC level 2 coach, and is experienced in many disciplines of competitive and recreational paddle sport.

Paul Jelley

Paul formerly combined his career as a university lecturer with that of being a sculptor and artist. Some of his work has found its way into private collections both here in London and around the world. Paul trained at St. Martin’s College and at London Metropolitan University, and offers courses in casting for jewellery and sculpture, enamelling and sculpture from life.

Santanu Mahanta

Santanu is a Level 2 badminton coach and Level 4 fitness instructor with three years’ experience of coaching.

Sara Foschini

Sara has a certificate in teaching Italian as a Foreign Language, and several years teaching in the public and private sector.

Sean Gandini

  • Juggling

Sean Gandini is widely considered one of the world's most adventurous jugglers. A prolific creator of juggling material, his work ranges from virtuoso group juggling choreography to films and articles covering the nuances of this often-neglected art form.

Uta Saatz

  • Tai Chi

Uta has been a Tai Chi practitioner since 1990. She has been teaching the Tai Chi course at Central YMCA since July 2003, when she took over from her Teacher, Graham Duncan. Uta teaches the Yang Style Short Form according to the principles and in the spirit of Cheng Man-ch'ing (1901-1975).
