Beginners Italian

About this course

This eight-week course is an introduction to the Italian language and is designed for complete beginners (or those with very limited experience of Italian).

Small classes (typically between four and six students) allow for maximum contact time with the tutor and students come from a wide range of different ages (currently 28-71!) and backgrounds.

What students will learn

The course starts from scratch with learning the Italian alphabet through to learning basic conversational skills for ‘real-life’ situations, such as ordering a drink in a café. The classes are taught mostly orally but the learning of grammar plays an important part over the weeks of the course. However, there is no formal exam or test (phew!).
