Healthy Weight Programme
YMCA Club members are invited to sign up for our Healthy Weight Programme, which starts up again later this month. The 12-week programme helps participants to get in better shape for summer and beyond!
The course is suitable for a wide range of people - from those wanting to add more muscle or tone to those wanting to slim down - and is made up of a number of elements, including physical activity sessions, expert-led workshops and informal, friendly discussions.
The programme, which consists of two 1h 45min sessions a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays 5.30-7.15pm), costs £120 for YMCA Club members (which works out at just £5 per session).

This month we are delivering a free induction to the ‘WalkActive’ programme for club members. WalkActive was developed to help people walk more efficiently and positive results can include improved posture, reduced back and joint pain, increased fitness and even weight loss. A study in 2014 at London South Bank University found that walking speed increased in the WalkActive group by 23%.
The induction takes place on Thursday 22 March (1.30-4pm) with trainers Declan Duncan, Victoria Brown and Claire Green. There are just 10 spaces available so please book now to avoid disappointment. To book a place email Declan.firstname.lastname@example.org.
