Andy Layne

Andy has been in the Fashion Industry since 1999, involved in pattern cutting and preparation of samples, liaising with buyers and stockists, machining of corsets and backstage wardrobe assistant. As a trained teacher, he has been involved in and taught many aspects of fashion, including garment construction, production techniques, modelling on the stand, basic sewing techniques, alterations and fittings. Bentley Browning

Bentley is an experienced professional singing teacher and performer who has worked in the music industry for 15 years composing, recording and producing records.  Currently fronting pop / rock band Zerostar he is also a professional actor with theatre, film and American television credits. He has studied N.L.P at Brikbeck University and is a powerful advocate of self development techniques such as The Law of Attraction, Affirmations and Power of the subconscious mind. Bentley has helped many people find love at the Social Introductions club, he ran at the famous Wag CLUB in Soho. He has hosted and run Alpha Groups and run a groundbreaking spiritual pubgroup. Danny Potts

Danny has been a gymnastics instructor since 1994, and is a BGA-qualified Club coach.  Danny was also in the British Diving squad at the age of 15 and competed in many international competitions.  He has been Y Active manager at Central YMCA since 2004.  He currently also teaches gymnastics to adults at Hendon Sports Centre.

 
     
   
 

Davinder Bath

Davinder Bath Sensei has been practising Aikido for 29 years. He is the Chief instructor of London Aikikai, one of the most important Aikido dojos in London. He is ranked 5th Dan by Aikido World Headquarter and is a qualified Coach at level 2. Davinder Bath Sensei is a student of TK Chiba Shihan, an enigmatic teacher and a close disciple of the founder of Aikido.
 
     
   
 

Doreen Uzice

Having always had a keen interest in complementary therapies, Doreen qualified in 1993 as a massage therapist. She went on to study Aromatherapy, Traditional Thai Massage, Indian Head Massage, Acupressure and Reiki.  As a registered teacher with the IFA (International Federation of Aromatherapists) and with ITEC (International Therapy Examinations Council) Doreen teaches introductory and diploma courses.

 
     
   
 

Duncan Steen

Duncan Steen (aka Jinananda) has taught meditation and mindfulness for over twenty years, at the City Lit, the West London Buddhist Centre, and the LSE. He is the author of Meditating (new edition 2012) published by Windhorse Publications and by Naxos on audiobook. His courses have been reviewed in the Financial Times (April 6.2007 Harry Eyres: A Waking Stillness), Hotcourses (2010:Review:Meditation and Mindfulness) and in the Guardian (8 April 2010: Tanya Gold:Can meditation stop me getting angry?). Eithne Healy

Eithne works with film and video, painting, sculpture, drawing and photography, dealing largely with themes that focus on identity and place. Exhibiting in London and Dublin, works are held in both private and public (Irish) collections. She is a graduate of Wimbledon School of Art and was awarded her Doctorate in Fine Art / Film from East London University in 2008. Jonathan Wood

Jonathan has over twenty years experience of kayaking and canoeing, and has participated in many styles of competitive and recreational paddlesport.  He is qualified as a BCU/UKCC level 2 coach, and is the training officer for Y-Paddle Canoe Club.

 
     
   
 

Julian Meldrum

Julian is an ASA swimming teacher and coach who has coached adult swimmers for many years, has taught beginner adults and children in swimming club settings, and has competed in Masters swimming at all levels from local to world championships. Having discovered the joys and challenges of open water swimming, he is currently taking part in triathlon and working towards a level 2 triathlon coaching qualification.
 
     
   
 

Laura Troisi

Laura took a University degree in English and French at the Universita Orientale Naples, Italia in 1989 and a CLTA at Goldsmith University in London 2005. From 1996 she has been teaching Italian in both group and individual settings, most recently to diplomats at the Foreign Office.
 
     
   
 

Paul Jelley

Roger Wisdom

Roger began canoeing as an adult in 1991-his first experience of sitting in a canoe being in the Y pool. He enjoyed it so much that he went on to become a keen regular kayaker. In due course he qualified as a canoeing coach and has been teaching canoeing at the Y for several years. He also regularly takes part in canoeing competitions: slalom is his main competitive dicipline(he's currently in Division 2 of the national ranking). He also occasionally competes in river races, both wild water and marathon.

Sean Gandini

Sean Gandini is widely considered one of the world's most adventurous jugglers. He has spent the last 20 years researching and contributing to all aspects of juggling. Uta Saatz

Uta has been a Tai Chi practitioner since 1991.  She has been teaching the Tai Chi course at Central YMCA since July 2003, when she took over from her previous Master, Graham Duncan.  Uta practises and teaches the Yang Style Short and Long Form according to the principles and in the spirit of Cheng Man-ch'ing (1901-1975).  Uta is a practising arts psychotherapist and photographer.
