Aikido All Levels

Aikido is a Japanese defensive martial art developed in the twentieth century, based on ancient disciplines. You will learn self-defence techniques, use of the attacker’s energy and work on developing a relaxed and focused mind-set. Tracksuit-style loose clothing is required. An Aikido uniform will be available for purchase or hire.

This weekend course can lead to a Diploma in Indian Head Massage accredited by the Institute of Indian Head Massage. You will need either to have completed the 6 week Tuesday evening Indian Head Massage course or a 1 day Friday primer. Certificate course from the Institute of Indian Head Massage will enable you to further develop your skills and consolidate your experience. Mindfulness

Mindfulness takes you 'out of your head'. It is an exercise of gently relocating your attention, taking it out of your constant internal chatter and worrying and into your awareness of being here, in the body, in the world. With this awareness you become more conscious of your thoughts and emotions, and this gives you more freedom and choice over how you respond to your experience.

Swedish Massage

Relax on this course where you will learn the basic techniques of Swedish massage, using oils, to give massages to friends and family. You will learn to massage the back, legs, feet, arms, neck and face. You will learn why we think massage is 'essential for health' and when massage may be 'contra-indicated'. You will learn the basic techniques, perfect for use on friends & family. Enrol alone or with a friend. Students practice on each other.
